(More customer reviews)With a 192 Bit interface, this card is FAST for a budget gamer. The card was a massive upgrade from my old 64 bit card.
The card itself is massive however, approximately if i remember correctly, about around 8 inches in length and almost an inch wide (due to Msi's cooler). It has two DVI interfaces, nowhere here does the information say that, however MSI includes an adapter to VGA in the box to remedy the issue, in addition they include the cable for the card, which requres a plug in to the power supply to get enough juice to run,
(needs a 420 Watt Power Supply).
The card runs The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion on my system at VERY HIGH SETTINGS. That's a testament to just how well this piece of equipment works, un fortunately thats where the fun part ends.
The GSO is a huge chip, that said it needs to be, but it causes alot of problems, and makes installation much more painful than it could be. There are two possible issues.
1. Your motherboard has some sort of input in the way of the card. Just about anything that is on the right of your PCI-E slot for the length of your motherboard ( directly in line with the card slot and about an inch below it) The usual issue is a processor, make sure you have the room for the card.
2. Your Computer case is too small or has no room in it to move things around, and the card just won't fit.
Overall the MSI 9600 GSO is an awesome card and is a great upgrade if you're increasing the Bit Rating of your card, it runs cool and quiet and looks pretty cool in a windowed case, but its very large size generates difficulties in installation. But I assure you, for $80-100 you can't do a lot better.
