(More customer reviews)this was a perfect tool to "have around" should i need to read a DVD/CD on my netbook. also, i was looking for the top-load mechanical latch, as it seemed less likely to have some bizarre problem with the loading mechanism. this was a very nice solution, and exactly the type of portable external drive i'd hoped to find. works perfectly with my ASUS 901.
