(More customer reviews)Just awesome...I unpacked the motherboard and opened the manual to the diagram page and began plugging in my existing hard drive and new power supply right into it. I used a new Thermatake Box, the rectangular one with the glossy shine (really nice as well) and pushed it slid it right in. I re-started the computer, it flashed blue, it asked me if I wanted to restore my settings and I pushed "yes" and that was it. On opening Windows 7, I placed the Asus disk in the drive and it loaded everything. I placed 3 gigs of old Ram on the board and 2 gigs of high-speed Crucial. I used a 5670 Radeon card and I can't say enough about the whole set up. I have a 23 inch HDMI 1080p HP monitor and my Flight Simulator X ramped up to all high settings and it runs like a dream; and yes, I have an AMD 965 x4 Black Edition plugged into the bad boy. The difference, just in Civ V, between the standard slimline Pavilion with x2 AMD and 3 gigs vs my setup is night and day. The ocean, for instance, looks like it would if you were flying over it at a few thousand feet.
Forgot to mention, I actually use the computer for graduate work and editing multi-track recordings and there is no reason to spend anymore unless you're into some serious CAD work. The set up mentioned above easily costs under a thousand with the monitor and delivers incredible performance.
