I installed this card in a new system (Gigabyte Motherboard, 8G DDR3) running Ubuntu Linux. The Nvidia restricted driver installed without a hitch. The video performance is excellent.
I noticed that when I play MP3's there is occasionally a glitch in the audio (and video) playback. It is very random and annoying. Sometimes it does this glitch often and then there are times when there are no glitches at all (5 minutes).
After swapping the card out with an EVGA card with the same chip set I noticed that the EVGA card does the same thing. This leads me to believe that the problem is the Nvidia restricted driver and not the hardware.
I am sure this card would perform well in Windows although I have not tested it on that platform. I would definitely buy this card again for a Windows machine. Hopefully Nvidia will fix the driver issue.
