I put in my phenom II x2 555 in here and unlocked the 2 locked cores in a few minutes. I easily turned a dual core into a quad.
This board is also VERY GOOD at overclocking. The bios even has settings for auto-overclocking. I got my CPU from 3.2 stock speeds to 3.7 ghz!!
For $70 you cant go wrong with this board. especially with a phenom II x2 555 paired with it!!!!
